What You'll Do9
- 1Build daily on-site instruction and small-group sessions in English Language Arts to improve reading comprehension, writing, and critical thinking outcomes.
- 2Design and deliver targeted interventions for students below grade level while offering enrichment for advanced learners in Literature and Honors English.
- 3Review student writing and provide timely feedback to improve clarity, organization, grammar, and analytical reasoning.
- 4Monitor progress, implement interventions or enrichment strategies, and document attendance and outcomes.
- 5Foster strong relationships with students to promote motivation, accountability, confidence, and independent learning.
- 6Support a small roster of online students with instruction, feedback, and progress tracking.
- 7Communicate regularly with students and families to support engagement and success.
- 8Collaborate with colleagues in professional development and school-wide initiatives.
- 9Maintain a structured yet flexible classroom environment that accommodates diverse learning needs.
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor's degree in education, English, Language Arts, or related field
- 2Arizona Teaching Certificate in English, Language Arts, Secondary Education, or ability to obtain one
- 3Experience teaching reading, writing, literature, grammar, and critical thinking in diverse classrooms
- 4Strong literacy-focused instructional skills with differentiated and student-centered practices
- 5Ability to work effectively in a blended learning model with online and on-site components
- 6Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
