What You'll Do7
- 1Teach students one-on-one using a gradual release method that builds independence and mastery.
- 2Adapt each lesson to the student's unique learning style and needs, adjusting pace and content in real time.
- 3Monitor student progress and provide immediate feedback to reinforce understanding and confidence.
- 4Use G-Suite tools and LMS platforms to manage instructional materials and track student data.
- 5Build rapport with each student to create a comfortable, engaging learning environment.
- 6Collaborate with campus staff to align instruction with Brightmont's curriculum standards.
- 7Document student achievements and areas for growth for quarterly progress reports.
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's degree in English, Social Studies, History, Government, or Economics.
- 21+ years of experience in teaching or tutoring, with a passion for student-centered instruction.
- 3Proficiency with G-Suite and Learning Management Software.
- 4Ability to pass a federal background check and provide fingerprints (AZ, WA only).
- 5Orton-Gillingham training preferred.
- 6Teaching certification optional but beneficial.
- 7Advanced degree in a relevant subject area preferred.
- 8Prior one-to-one teaching experience preferred.
