Overview
Professional educator dedicated to fostering literacy and critical thinking aligned with Massachusetts English Language Arts Frameworks. Reports to Principal/Assistant Principal. Responsible for delivering rigorous instruction and cultivating insightful thinkers and effective communicators.
What You'll Do11
- 1Design and deliver lesson plans aligned with MA ELA standards and NAHS curriculum guides
- 2Adapt teaching methods using Sheltered English Instruction for English Learners and modifications for IEPs or 504 plans
- 3Integrate modern laboratory equipment and educational technology to enhance engagement and data analysis
- 4Create diverse assessments such as lab reports projects and exams to monitor student progress
- 5Analyze student performance data to identify learning gaps and adjust instructional strategies
- 6Maintain accurate student achievement records following NAHS semester-based grading system
- 7Enforce OSHA and district safety protocols for laboratory settings
- 8Foster a respectful culturally responsive learning environment
- 9Collaborate with English Department for curriculum coordination and interdisciplinary units
- 10Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and participate in school-wide events
- 11Drive implementation of inclusive climate initiatives
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor’s degree in English or Secondary Education
- 2Master’s degree preferred
- 3Valid Massachusetts DESE Certification in composition or literature
- 4Successful completion of CORI and fingerprint-based background checks
- 5Strong classroom management skills and proficiency in educational software
- 6Commitment to social-emotional learning
- 75+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 83-5 seasons of leadership experience
- 9Ability to stand sit or squat for extended periods
- 10Flexibility to perform additional duties as assigned
- 11Experience with data-driven instruction and differentiated learning strategies
