Heat Press and Laser Operator, Custom Patch Production
Overview
You own daily setup, operation, and maintenance of heat press machines and Boss laser cutters using LightBurn software at Custom Patch Hats LLC in Raleigh, NC. You stage materials, run sample proofs, and monitor inventory to keep production moving. This onsite warehouse role reports to the Fabrication Lead and works Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm. You pair precision with hands-on mechanical care to deliver consistent custom patches.
What You'll Do8
- 1Operate heat press machines to apply patches or transfers with precision and consistency.
- 2Monitor temperature, pressure, and time to meet application standards.
- 3Perform startup and shutdown procedures for laser equipment daily.
- 4Stage leather materials according to the production queue.
- 5Prepare and run sample proofs for orders, matching CPH quality standards.
- 6Update LightBurn software per manufacturer guidelines.
- 7Conduct basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment, including machine alignment and optical cleaning.
- 8Monitor inventory levels and notify the manager when supplies run low.
Requirements6
- 11+ year in manufacturing experience.
- 21+ year operating laser machinery.
- 3Training in general safety, ESD awareness, FOD prevention, and quality systems.
- 4Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs frequently.
- 5Stand, walk, or sit for up to 8 hours per day.
- 6Bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, twist, and reach overhead frequently.
