Laser Field Install Tech, Entry Level
Overview
Install and maintain laser equipment at customer sites across North America. You will join the Customer and Support Service Team at MC Machinery Systems, learning to set up and service laser systems from day one. Use basic mechanical and electrical skills to perform installations, preventive maintenance, and testing to manufacturer specs. Travel extensively to customer sites, gaining hands-on experience with laser technology and a clear path for career growth.
What You'll Do8
- 1Install laser equipment at customer sites, following plans and drawings to ensure proper setup.
- 2Perform preventive maintenance on laser systems, verifying operation to manufacturer specifications.
- 3Conduct equipment tests after installation to confirm proper function and safety.
- 4Document installation and service activities in written reports, communicating clearly with customers and team members.
- 5Learn and apply basic mechanical and electrical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve installation issues.
- 6Travel to customer sites throughout North America, often with extended stays and overtime.
- 7Operate hand tools and power tools safely, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- 8Collaborate with the service team to share insights and improve installation processes.
Requirements9
- 11-2 years of electrical and mechanical experience preferred.
- 2Associates or technical degree in a related field preferred.
- 3Working knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes.
- 4Ability to use basic hand tools and operate a computer with Windows operating systems.
- 5Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- 6Comfort working at heights and in varying weather conditions.
- 7Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
- 8Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
- 9Good visual and color acuity for precise work.
