Operate laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality metal parts at Kloeckner Metals in Charlotte, NC. What You'll Do8
- 1Set up laser equipment for production runs and adjust machine settings to hit customer specs
- 2Run laser cutting operations, monitoring output for quality and adjusting as needed
- 3Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other hand tools
- 4Complete production control charts and log data to track quality and output
- 5Troubleshoot and resolve process issues on the laser to minimize downtime
- 6Follow preventive maintenance schedules to keep laser equipment in top condition
- 7Train new operators on safe and effective laser operation procedures
- 8Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to all safety protocols
Requirements5
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
- 2Ability to read technical drawings, routers, and production documentation
- 3Proficiency in basic math and measurements, including use of hand-held measuring tools
- 4Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality output
- 5Ability to operate laser equipment safely and efficiently, following all safety protocols
