CNC Laser Operator 2nd Shift - ABC Sheet Metal
Overview
ABC Sheet Metal seeks a skilled CNC Laser Operator for the 2nd Shift. This full-time position offers competitive pay ranging from $28 to $35 per hour. The ideal candidate will set up and operate fiber and CO₂ laser cutting equipment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
What You'll Do14
- 1Set up and operate fiber and CO₂ laser cutting equipment
- 2Load and unload sheet metal
- 3Verify material type thickness work orders travelers and documentation
- 4Perform nozzle changes focus adjustments gas selection and cutting condition setup
- 5Monitor machine performance and adjust settings as needed
- 6Read blueprints engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation
- 7Inspect parts using calipers tape measures and other measuring equipment
- 8Verify dimensional and visual requirements
- 9Complete travelers traceability records and production documentation
- 10Maintain material identification and part traceability
- 11Operate overhead cranes vacuum lifting equipment forklifts and other material handling gear
- 12Perform routine operator-level preventive maintenance
- 13Follow safety quality and AS9100D procedures
- 14Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements11
- 1At least three years of CNC laser operating experience
- 2Experience with fiber and/or CO₂ laser cutting equipment
- 3Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing drawings
- 4Proficiency in inspecting parts using basic measuring equipment
- 5Ability to work independently
- 6Forklift certification
- 7Physical ability to stand walk bend and lift up to 25 pounds
- 8Experience with automated pallet-changing systems
- 9Aerospace or precision sheet metal manufacturing background
- 10AS9100D manufacturing experience
- 11Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems
