Overview

As a Front Office Associate at Starling Oncology you will own front desk operations for an outpatient oncology clinic serving a diverse community. You will support patient check-in, co-pays, appointment scheduling, and health history intake across a multi-site network. You will join a patient-centered care team committed to compassionate service, confidentiality, and efficient scheduling to ensure smooth patient experiences. This role prioritizes clear communication, empathy, and collaboration within the care team.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Greet and check-in patients and collect co-pays and payments
  • 2Interview patients to gather health histories and current medications
  • 3Schedule appointments and manage inbound calls
  • 4Answer patient inquiries and route to appropriate team members
  • 5Maintain patient confidentiality and data security across systems
  • 6Participate in mandatory staff meetings and training
  • 7Promote exceptional customer service aligned with TOI culture
  • 8Support clinical staff with front desk operations as needed
  • 9Process payments and update patient records in the electronic system
  • 10Assist with occasional travel to other offices as required

Requirements10

  • 1High school diploma or GED
  • 2Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
  • 3Medical receptionist: 1 year preferred
  • 4Full-time schedule with 8 hour day shifts, Monday to Friday
  • 5Onsite in Portland, Oregon with occasional travel stipend
  • 6Experience handling payments and scheduling in a medical setting
  • 7Commitment to confidentiality and security of patient information
  • 8Ability to work as part of a care team in a medical clinic
  • 9Demonstrated compassionate and patient-focused approach
  • 10Prior experience in outpatient oncology settings is a plus
