Foster Care Licensing Specialist, Ohio Mentor & Sevita
Overview
The Foster Care Licensing Specialist owns the annual contract review process for Host Home Providers and conducts environment assessments at scale. You are part of a mission-driven team within Ohio Mentor, a Sevita family program, supporting youth in foster care and related services. This role focuses on regulatory compliance, documentation, and ongoing education for providers. What You'll Do10
- 1Coordinate the annual contractual review and re-evaluation process
- 2Conduct annual physical environment evaluations and health and safety reviews
- 3Perform periodic home visits and regulatory audits of Host Home Provider records
- 4Communicate compliance issues regularly to operations management
- 5Provide information to the matching team on homes with placement availability
- 6Maintain and audit Mentor files for regulatory and contractual compliance
- 7Assist management in developing and implementing a Mentor retention plan
- 8Coordinate ongoing Mentor appreciation activities and continuing education sessions
- 9Travel 3-4 days a week within-state to conduct on-site visits to Mentor homes
- 10Perform other related duties as required
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor’s Degree in human services
- 2Two years of related human services experience preferred
- 3Current driver’s license, car registration and auto insurance if providing transportation
- 4Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for education and experience requirements
- 5Ability to travel within-state as needed
