Overview

You will own a caseload of 13-16 foster care and resource home cases at Progressive Life Center, driving reunification and permanency for children aged infancy to 21. You will serve as a team mentor, guiding placement and licensing of new foster homes while ensuring full compliance with COA standards. Working across Philadelphia, you'll collaborate with CUA/County agencies and internal teams. This role stands apart through its focus on culturally responsive care, using the NTU Service Delivery Model.

What You'll Do8

  • 1Manage a caseload of 13-16 foster care and resource home cases, completing intake assessments and safety inspections.
  • 2Serve as a team mentor to the Program Director, assisting with client placement and licensing of new foster homes.
  • 3Provide case management, advocacy, and referrals, linking families to community resources and follow-up services.
  • 4Develop service plans, progress reports, termination summaries, and maintain fully compliant client files.
  • 5Run monthly on-call coverage, monitoring emergencies and after-hours calls.
  • 6Submit CUA documentation bi-weekly and begin re-certification three months before foster parent license dates.
  • 7Liaise between CUA/County workers and PLC, and train resource foster parents on certification requirements.
  • 8Enter and maintain accurate data in FamCare and other contractual databases like HCSIS and the PA Foster Parent Registry.

  • 1Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, education, or a related human service field.
  • 24-7 years of progressive experience with children, youth, and families in a human services setting.
  • 3Experience with human services best practices and training.
  • 4Proficiency with MS Office Suite and databases.
  • 5Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • 6Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • 7Flexible schedule availability, including on-call rotations.
  • 8Certification in NTU Service Delivery Model within one year of hire.
  • 9CPR/First Aid certification and valid driver's license with reliable vehicle.
  • 10Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
