Overview

Lead development initiatives for residential placements while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Oversee case loads and provide direct support to foster families. Drive improvements in care standards and collaborate across agencies.

What You'll Do11

  • 1Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards that are applicable to this position
  • 2Maintain a case load in accordance with agency policies and procedures and contract standards
  • 3Train and evaluate foster parents to ensure adequate skill and motivation to implement the agency behavior management model
  • 4Provide ongoing and regular face-to-face supervision of foster parents according to program requirements
  • 5Maintain accurate and current foster care records
  • 6Intervene in crisis situations involving foster children or families
  • 7Provide pre-service and in-service training to foster parents as necessary
  • 8Prepare daily census and department reports as assigned
  • 9Maintain effective working relationships between foster parents, other agency staff, Child Protective Services staff, Department of Children’s Services, judicial officials, legal resources, medical professionals, and other community resources
  • 10Participate in on-call duties and responsibilities
  • 11Work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed or requested by position supervisor

  • 1Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment
  • 2Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request
  • 3Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background checks
  • 4Demonstrate the ability to respond sensitively and competently to the service population’s cultural and socio-economic characteristics
  • 5Work collaboratively with other staff members, service providers and professionals
  • 6Provide crisis intervention according to training provided by Compass Connections when needed to maintain a safe environment
  • 7Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain emotional control and professional composure at all times
  • 8Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position
  • 9Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • 10Demonstrate a working knowledge of all Compass Connections policies and procedures
  • 11Obtain an approved exemption as a medical or religious accommodation for annual Influenza vaccination
