Food Runner, Restaurant & Hospitality
Overview
You will own the flow of meals from kitchen to table at a busy neighborhood bar and grille. You'll coordinate with servers, keep the floor stocked, and reset tables to keep service moving. This role puts you in the center of the action, working side by side with chefs and waitstaff. You'll learn the rhythm of a high-volume kitchen and build a foundation for advancing in hospitality.
What You'll Do7
- 1Serve customers their meals and drinks with precision and a smile.
- 2Communicate food orders to the kitchen staff using clear calls.
- 3Refill drinks throughout service to keep guests happy.
- 4Wipe down tables, chairs, and other surfaces to maintain a clean floor.
- 5Remove tablecloths and reset tables quickly between seatings.
- 6Clear dirty dishes, glasses, and silverware from tables as soon as guests leave.
- 7Adhere to all health and safety rules, including food safety guidelines.
Requirements5
- 11+ year experience as a busser, barback, food runner, or similar position preferred.
- 2Familiarity with food safety guidelines and ServSafe basics.
- 3Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
- 4Friendly and outgoing personality with a customer-first attitude.
- 5Availability to work evening and weekend shifts, including holidays.
