Overview
Own the hot side of the pass at Spring Brook Country Club, moving plated dishes from kitchen to guest tables across a high-volume dining room and private events. You coordinate with line cooks and servers to hit ticket times, uphold plating standards, and resolve guest requests on the spot. Nights, weekends, and holidays are your stage, where physical stamina and sharp attention to detail keep service flowing. What You'll Do8
- 1Run plated dishes from the kitchen to guest tables or room service locations within 2 minutes of plating, preserving temperature and presentation.
- 2Verify each dish against the ticket, checking for allergens, sides, and garnish before leaving the pass.
- 3Bold hot trays, soup bowls, and large-format plates using proper grip and lifting technique across busy dining floors.
- 4Communicate order status and delays to the expediter using a point-of-sale system and verbal cues like '86' on sold-out items.
- 5Clear and reset tables between courses, restock water, bread, and condiments at service stations.
- 6Escort special requests such as birthday cakes or dietary substitutions to the correct table, confirming guest satisfaction.
- 7Sanitize service stations, trays, and runners' hands per ServSafe guidelines every 30 minutes during peaks.
- 8Assist bussers and servers during rush periods, covering drink refills and side stations without missing a beat.
Requirements7
- 11+ year of food running or server assistant experience in a fine dining or hotel setting.
- 2Ability to carry 25+ lbs on a tray while navigating tight spaces and stairs for 8-hour shifts.
- 3Stand and walk for 6+ hours continuously, with full range of motion for overhead reaches and bending.
- 4Pass food safety essentials exam or hold Food Handler Card within 30 days of hire.
- 5Flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays, including double shifts during high season.
- 6Read and speak English at a professional level to relay orders and dietary restrictions.
- 7Previous room service delivery experience preferred, but not required.
