Floor Care Porter, Skilled Nursing & Senior Living
Overview
You own floor care and sanitation across the Rehabilitation building at Allegria Village, a senior living campus with Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing. You operate buffers and auto-scrubbers, strip and wax floors, and keep common areas spotless on a 2pm-10pm shift. The team relies on you for infection prevention and safety. What You'll Do8
- 1Sweep, mop, and buff floors in resident rooms, hallways, and dining areas daily, using auto-scrubbers and buffers.
- 2Strip and wax floors per the schedule, keeping surfaces safe and shiny in high-traffic zones.
- 3Empty trash, replace liners, and haul bulk waste to the dumpster, following infection control protocols.
- 4Respond to housekeeping requests and spills within minutes, using HazCom supplies to contain risks.
- 5Maintain utility rooms, storage closets, and equipment, reporting any malfunctions to the supervisor same day.
- 6Move furniture and set up rooms for events or resident transfers, assisting nursing staff when needed.
- 7Follow all OSHA and CDC sanitation guidelines, including hand hygiene and PPE use.
- 8Document work completed in the WorkOrder system, flagging safety hazards for follow-up.
Requirements7
- 11+ year experience in floor care, housekeeping, or environmental services, ideally in healthcare or senior living.
- 2High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 3Proven ability to operate commercial floor buffers and auto-scrubbers safely.
- 4Dependable and punctual, with strong attention to detail in infection prevention tasks.
- 5Works independently and as part of a team, showing respect to residents and staff.
- 6Must lift 50 lbs and stand or walk for 8-hour shifts.
- 7Flexible to work 2pm-10pm shift, including weekends and holidays as needed.
