What You'll Do6

  • 1Diagnose and repair tractor systems including diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, HVAC, electrical, and tires
  • 2Utilize computer systems to create, track, and complete work orders with accurate labor and parts data
  • 3Provide superior customer service to drivers and maintain a positive, collaborative work environment
  • 4Move equipment safely around the yard and adhere to safety protocols and company policies
  • 5Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot using manuals and diagnostic software
  • 6Assist with maintaining clean DPFs and open parts rooms, and support general shop operations

Requirements7

  • 1High School Diploma or GED or trade/technical school graduation
  • 2Substantial diesel technician or heavy duty mechanic experience or equivalent military experience
  • 3Ability to read repair manuals and complete repair orders with good written communication
  • 4Experience with Freightliners or Detroit engines is a plus
  • 5Must provide own roll-a-round storage and hand-tools
  • 618 years of age or older
  • 7Basic computer knowledge and ability to use repair documentation and work orders
