What You'll Do6
- 1Diagnose and repair tractor systems including diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, HVAC, electrical, and tires
- 2Utilize computer systems to create, track, and complete work orders with accurate labor and parts data
- 3Provide superior customer service to drivers and maintain a positive, collaborative work environment
- 4Move equipment safely around the yard and adhere to safety protocols and company policies
- 5Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot using manuals and diagnostic software
- 6Assist with maintaining clean DPFs and open parts rooms, and support general shop operations
Requirements7
- 1High School Diploma or GED or trade/technical school graduation
- 2Substantial diesel technician or heavy duty mechanic experience or equivalent military experience
- 3Ability to read repair manuals and complete repair orders with good written communication
- 4Experience with Freightliners or Detroit engines is a plus
- 5Must provide own roll-a-round storage and hand-tools
- 618 years of age or older
- 7Basic computer knowledge and ability to use repair documentation and work orders
