First Article Quality Inspector - Plastic Manufacturing
Overview
We seek an experienced First Article Quality Inspector - Injection Molding to ensure products meet customer specifications through blueprint interpretation and quality reporting. This role involves independent work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing quality experience and strong attention to detail.
What You'll Do11
- 1Read blueprints and specifications to understand product requirements
- 2Visually inspect final products and rework every hour
- 3Measure critical dimensions every two hours and log results
- 4Manage all equipment and documents during shifts
- 5Maintain data records and conduct statistical analysis
- 6Prepare shift reports detailing job runs and issues
- 7Perform first article reports aligned with blueprints and customer needs
- 8Reject non-conforming products and notify supervisors
- 9Suggest process improvements for quality control
- 10Address quality-related problems promptly
- 11Handle start-up samples and maintain library inventory
Requirements6
- 1High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- 2Minimum of 2 years experience in similar role preferred
- 3Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques
- 4Knowledge of complex blueprints
- 5Familiarity with IQMS CMM RAM systems
- 6Valid quality control certification preferred
