Field Maintenance Technician, Electrical & Mechanical Focus
Overview
- Bold Mechanical and Electrical aptitude to perform routine maintenance on facility equipment at renewable energy and critical infrastructure sites. You will travel up to 100 to support solar farms, BESS sites, warehouses, and customer facilities. You will learn specialized careers in solar, battery storage, HVAC, and power systems while growing with Pearce. This role combines hands-on maintenance with safety and documentation responsibilities.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and inspect mechanical, electrical, and facility equipment to ensure reliable operation and safety
- 2Troubleshoot issues and complete repairs safely and efficiently for all sites you support
- 3Assist preventative maintenance programs to maximize uptime and equipment reliability
- 4Install and maintain conduit, cable trays, brackets, and supports as needed
- 5Support warehouse, fleet, and shop operations including maintenance and organization
- 6Assist experienced technicians at commercial solar and battery energy storage sites
- 7Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment
- 8Maintain accurate work documentation and follow company safety procedures
- 9Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- 10Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent or completion of a trade school program
- 2Willingness to travel up to 100 following Pearce rotation schedule
- 31 year of experience in maintenance, construction, automotive, manufacturing, military, industrial, or related field preferred
- 4Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in electrical systems
- 5Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move up to 100 lbs occasionally
- 6Ability to climb ladders and work at heights of 6 to 30 feet
- 7Ability to work in warehouses, shops, industrial facilities, and outdoor environments
- 8Proactive problem solving and willingness to learn new skills
- 9Valid drivers license or reliable transportation
- 10Comfort operating hand and power tools and basic measurement tools
