Facilities Maintenance Technician Franklin IN HVAC Electrical & Plumbing
Overview
Own and maintain facility systems at automotive manufacturing site in Franklin, IN with a focus on HVAC, electrical, plumbing and building infrastructure. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure uptime and safety. This role supports multiple shifts and requires hands on troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and repair facility electrical and mechanical systems to meet uptime goals
- 2Inspect and maintain HVAC, plumbing, compressed air, water and building infrastructure with routine PMs
- 3Diagnose equipment and building-system issues and complete in-house repairs when possible
- 4Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors for specialized services
- 5Monitor facility conditions via the Building Management System and readings from blueprints and schematics
- 6Read and interpret blueprints electrical diagrams and mechanical drawings to guide maintenance
- 7Operate standard and elevated access equipment including scissor lifts and boom lifts
- 8Follow Arc Flash safety procedures and safety protocols for all tasks
- 9Assist with waste handling and other facility-related responsibilities
- 10Ensure compliance with safety procedures and maintain clean, safe work areas
Requirements10
- 12+ years of industrial facilities maintenance experience
- 2Strong knowledge of mechanical electrical HVAC plumbing and building systems
- 3Ability to read blueprints electrical diagrams and schematics
- 4Comfortable working at heights and operating scissor lifts and boom lifts
- 5EPA Certification preferred but not required
- 6Knowledge of Arc Flash safety
- 7Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
- 8Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) and maintenance software preferred
- 9Ability to troubleshoot and perform in-house repairs and coordinate with vendors as needed
- 10Experience in automotive manufacturing environment a plus
