Overview
You will own campus readiness at a Concord, CA school, opening buildings, raising the US Flag, and inspecting the site before students and staff arrive. You will manage daily upkeep, from restroom stocking to event setups, and respond to custodial needs and spills. Your work keeps the Main Campus and Athletics Complex clean and safe. This role stands out for its daily variety and the trust placed in you to handle security and maintenance tasks.
What You'll Do9
- 1Open school buildings, raise the US Flag, and inspect the campus to ensure readiness for students and employees.
- 2Inspect restrooms daily, stock supplies, and clean them as needed.
- 3Set up and take down equipment for campus events and activities.
- 4Perform supplemental cleaning of outdoor furnishings, windows, floor mats, and respond to spills and urgent custodial needs.
- 5Empty interior and exterior trash cans and pick up litter daily.
- 6Support operations with mail and package delivery, hanging banners, assembling furniture, and minor repairs.
- 7Handle pest control issues between scheduled contractor visits.
- 8Track inventory of restroom and cleaning supplies, batteries, and light bulbs, and request replenishment from the Director.
- 9Assist with crosswalk, traffic, or other campus security issues when requested.
Requirements7
- 12+ years in facilities maintenance or a related field.
- 2Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues.
- 3Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- 4Attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks.
- 5Capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
- 6Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- 7Knowledge of custodial equipment, basic hand tools, and safety procedures.
