Custodial Technician, Facility Cleaning
Overview
You will own the cleanliness and supply readiness of a two-building industrial facility, shaping the daily experience for every employee and visitor. Working independently, you will execute daily cleaning routines, manage inventory, and report directly to the Facilities Manager. Your role is critical to maintaining a safe, professional environment that reflects real pride and standards.
What You'll Do8
- 1Build and maintain a reliable weekly cleaning schedule that prioritizes high-traffic areas.
- 2Execute daily cleaning routines for offices, breakrooms, restrooms, and the shop floor with consistency.
- 3Keep both buildings fully stocked with cleaning supplies and equipment, tracking usage and reordering as needed.
- 4Provide regular progress updates to the Facilities Manager, flagging issues early.
- 5Follow all safety guidelines precisely, including proper handling of chemicals and equipment.
- 6Spot opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency, suggesting actionable improvements.
- 7Troubleshoot and resolve custodial issues on the spot, from spills to equipment malfunctions.
- 8Assist with special projects and emergency cleanups outside routine hours when required.
Requirements7
- 11+ year of custodial or janitorial experience preferred, but we will train the right person.
- 2Hands-on experience with a floor scrubber machine and other power equipment.
- 3Solid knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and best practices for various surfaces.
- 4Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, managing time effectively.
- 5Physically capable of standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- 6High school diploma or GED required.
- 7Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected person under asylum/refugee status.
