Executive Loss Control Property & Marine Specialist
Overview
Lead loss control initiatives driving risk mitigation across property and marine portfolios. Own risk assessments and collaborate with underwriting to enhance book of business. Develop reports and guidelines to guide exposure control.
What You'll Do11
- 1Build relationships with underwriting brokers and claims teams to align risk strategies
- 2Conduct on-site virtual and desktop assessments for complex property IM and ocean marine accounts
- 3Identify exposures and advise customers on mitigation actions to reduce loss likelihood
- 4Prepare detailed technical reports communicating risk assessments and recommendations
- 5Utilize risk control vendors and manage quality control processes
- 6Deliver technical training to team members and external stakeholders
- 7Stay current with regulations and emerging industry issues
- 8Support cross-functional projects and multi-line surveys
- 9Manage workload independently while maintaining thorough documentation
- 10Travel approximately 25 percent of time to support field activities
- 11Collaborate with peers and partners on specialized projects
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor's degree in Engineering Risk Management or related field
- 2Minimum 6 years documented loss control experience in property IM or ocean marine sectors
- 3Certifications such as CPC Card or AWS Certified preferred
- 4Proficiency with NFPA FM Global IBC standards and risk management software
- 5Strong analytical skills for interpreting insurance coverages and exposures
- 6Experience with fine arts risk management a plus
- 7Ability to travel 25 percent of time and adapt to varied locations
- 8Understanding of property construction residential commercial industrial hazards
- 9Technical expertise in fire protection systems sprinklers and automatic extinguishing systems
- 10Knowledge of machinery operation exposures and controls
- 11Commitment to continuous learning and technology adoption
