What You'll Do7

  • 1Manage the Executive Director's calendar, correspondence, and scheduling to keep priorities aligned.
  • 2Coordinate office vendors, supplies, and facilities to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • 3Process invoices and support basic bookkeeping using QuickBooks and Microsoft 365.
  • 4Support board meeting scheduling, materials, and minutes for NAMI CCNS governance.
  • 5Plan and staff events including NAMIWalk, annual meeting, and tabling events.
  • 6Represent the organization at community events when needed, building local partnerships.
  • 7Provide general administrative support across the team, from filing to communication.

Requirements8

  • 11-3+ years administrative experience, nonprofit experience a plus.
  • 2Organized and detail-oriented, with excellent follow-through on tasks.
  • 3Trustworthy and discreet, comfortable handling sensitive information.
  • 4Strong writing skills for correspondence and meeting minutes.
  • 5Proficient in Microsoft 365 including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • 6Available for occasional evening and weekend event support.
  • 7Connection to NAMI CCNS service area (Chicago's north suburbs) a plus.
  • 8Spanish language skills a plus.
