Event Coordinator, Popup Restaurants & Onsite Operations
Overview
You own the onsite execution of Fooda popup restaurant events in San Francisco office buildings, delivering a flawless lunch experience for 100+ employees per location. You coordinate restaurant arrivals, setup, POS functionality, and customer interactions, while working with the Operations Manager to resolve any issues. This part-time role (27.5 hours/week) offers steady weekday hours, a competitive hourly rate, and a pathway into Fooda's growing network of 3,500+ restaurants.
What You'll Do8
- 1Set up and tear down Fooda events, including tables, signage, and equipment, ensuring a high-quality presentation.
- 2Serve as backup cashier at Fooda Cafés, processing transactions with the POS system.
- 3Coordinate restaurant arrivals and building access, verifying delivery accuracy and timing.
- 4Troubleshoot technical issues with the POS, onsite tablets, and TV menu boards during service hours.
- 5Conduct onsite promotions and coach employees on the Fooda mobile app to increase adoption.
- 6Audit restaurant setup against brand standards, taking corrective action to maintain consistency.
- 7Resolve customer complaints in real time, from incorrect orders to late deliveries, escalating to the Operations Manager when needed.
- 8Document event performance and communicate daily results to the operations team.
Requirements7
- 11+ years in customer service, hospitality, or event coordination, preferably in catering or restaurants.
- 2Reliable access to a vehicle and valid driver's license for local travel.
- 3Comfort with POS systems and mobile apps, with ability to learn new technology quickly.
- 4Availability Monday-Friday from 8am-4pm, with core hours 10am-2pm.
- 5Strong problem-solving skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.
- 6Excellent verbal communication and a customer-first attitude.
- 7Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in a fast-paced environment.
