Estimating Manager Residence Construction
Overview
The Estimating Manager will lead budgeting, procurement, and cost management across a diverse portfolio of projects. This role involves developing accurate estimates, managing subcontractor relationships, and driving cost savings. What You'll Do13
- 1Prepare detailed construction cost estimates including labor materials equipment and subcontractor costs
- 2Review plans specifications and scopes of work to develop accurate project budgets
- 3Solicit level and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
- 4Develop bid packages and ensure appropriate trade coverage
- 5Identify scope gaps pricing discrepancies and potential cost risks before construction
- 6Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors suppliers and trade partners
- 7Negotiate competitive pricing terms and agreements with vendors and subcontractors
- 8Support purchasing activities including purchase orders and procurement schedules
- 9Partner with project managers to maintain cost accuracy throughout execution
- 10Assist with project budgeting forecasting and cost-control initiatives
- 11Monitor material labor and subcontractor pricing trends to find savings opportunities
- 12Maintain accurate estimating bidding purchasing and contract documentation
- 13Help improve estimating and procurement processes as the organization grows
Requirements11
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons leading teams in construction environments
- 3CPC Card certification preferred
- 4AWS Certified experience required
- 55+ years experience with construction cost databases and subcontractor bidding processes
- 6Knowledge of construction cost databases and ERP platforms
- 7Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- 8Excellent written verbal communication abilities
- 9Ability to manage multiple projects priorities and deadlines simultaneously
- 10Experience with construction management estimating or procurement
- 11Previous responsibility for both estimating and purchasing/procurement is a plus
Salary Insight
$100 - $130k per year
