What You'll Do13
- 1Analyze plans specifications and bid documents
- 2Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare detailed cost estimates
- 3Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
- 4Develop comprehensive bid packages and proposals
- 5Analyze labor material equipment and subcontractor costs
- 6Identify project risks value engineering opportunities and cost-saving measures
- 7Attend pre-bid meetings site visits and scope review meetings
- 8Coordinate with project managers superintendents architects and engineers
- 9Maintain current pricing databases and estimating software
- 10Prepare conceptual preliminary and final estimates throughout project phases
- 11Assist with contract negotiations and project handoff to operations teams
- 12Monitor market trends labor rates and material pricing fluctuations
- 13Ensure estimates comply with company standards and client requirements
Requirements11
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 210+ years commercial construction estimating experience preferred
- 3Bachelor's degree in Construction Management
- 4Strong understanding of commercial construction methods materials and building systems
- 5Ability to read and interpret blueprints specifications and construction documents
- 6Experience with estimating software
- 7Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
- 8Excellent analytical mathematical and organizational skills
- 9Strong communication and negotiation abilities
- 10Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
- 11Physical ability to visit construction sites occasional travel required
