Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), BLS Transport
Overview
As an EMT at AmeriPro Health, you will own patient assessment and BLS interventions during emergency and non-emergency transports in the Atlanta area. You will partner with Paramedics on ALS calls, operate state-of-the-art ambulances, and document care in electronic systems. What You'll Do8
- 1Assess patients and deliver BLS interventions including CPR, oxygen, bleeding control, splinting, and vital sign monitoring.
- 2Assist Paramedics by preparing equipment and executing delegated tasks during ALS calls.
- 3Monitor patient condition during transport and relay updates to the Paramedic or receiving facility.
- 4Complete accurate electronic documentation of BLS care and patient interactions.
- 5Operate the ambulance safely following AmeriPro driving standards and traffic regulations.
- 6Maintain ambulance and equipment readiness through inspections, cleaning, and restocking.
- 7Perform stretcher operations and lift or move patients up to 300 pounds with assistance.
- 8Participate in training and quality improvement activities to maintain EMT proficiency.
Requirements8
- 1Previous EMT work experience required.
- 2Current State EMT certification or licensure in good standing.
- 3Current National Registry NREMT certification if required by state.
- 4Current CPR: BLS certification.
- 5Valid state driver's license.
- 6FEMA IS certifications (IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800).
- 7High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- 8PHTLS or ITLS training preferred.
