What You'll Do8
- 1Assess patient condition and administer advanced life support interventions using ACLS protocols on every 911 call
- 2Perform patient assessment and vitals monitoring, initiating CPR and defibrillation as needed for cardiac arrest cases
- 3Drive ambulance safely to emergency scenes and hospitals, complying with Massachusetts driving laws and patient privacy standards
- 4Document patient care and treatment with electronic patient care reports, ensuring data accuracy for hospital handoff
- 5Coordinate with EMT partners and hospital staff to stabilize and transfer patients, maintaining equipment readiness
- 6Manage airway, ventilation, and medication administration per Paramedic Certification scope, including IV and drug protocols
- 7Lead mass casualty incident response in partnership with local fire and police departments, triaging multiple patients
- 8Restock and disinfect ambulance and medical equipment after each shift, meeting infection control standards
Requirements7
- 1Current Massachusetts Paramedic Certification and National Paramedic Certification (both required)
- 2Current CPR and ACLS Certifications at hire date
- 3Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record per company insurance policy
- 418+ years of age with ability to lift and move patients up to 100+ pounds
- 5Completion of accredited paramedic training program and field internship
- 6Pass background check and physical agility test for emergency response duties
- 7Valid MA driver’s license with no major violations in past 3 years
