Overview

Trident EMS seeks an Emergency Medical Technician to assess treat and transport patients across Lake Volusia and Polk counties. This role involves coordinating with dispatch teams responding to emergency and non-emergency calls while ensuring patient safety and effective communication.

What You'll Do11

  • 1Provide emergency and non-emergency medical transportation services
  • 2Demonstrate sound judgment and prioritize public safety while operating ambulance units
  • 3Utilize appropriate techniques resources and equipment to assess and treat patients
  • 4Perform patient assessments and provide treatment within the EMT scope of practice
  • 5Package move and transport patients safely and efficiently
  • 6Complete accurate patient care reports transportation records and other required documentation
  • 7Maintain comprehensive understanding of current standards of care medical equipment operation and agency protocols
  • 8Adhere to all company policies safety procedures and infection-control practices
  • 9Prioritize the safety and well-being of patients coworkers healthcare personnel and the public
  • 10Establish and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers EMS partners hospitals and members of the public
  • 11Maintain cleanliness organization and operational readiness of ambulance units and equipment after each response

Requirements11

  • 1Minimum age 18 years
  • 2High school diploma or GED required
  • 3Ability to read write speak and understand English proficiently
  • 4Pass a physical evaluation including lifting and moving up to 125 pounds
  • 5Ability to work rotating shifts weekends holidays and emergency assignments
  • 6Proven commitment to patient-centered care and professionalism
  • 7Active Florida Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician License
  • 8Current Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers
  • 9Valid Florida Class E Driver License
  • 10Preferred CEVO Certification
  • 11Emergency Vehicle Operations Course EVOC Certification
