EHS Manager, Manufacturing Operations & Compliance
Overview
EHS Manager leads environmental health and safety programs across manufacturing operations at the Gastonia NC site with global standards influence. What You'll Do10
- 1Build and lead comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures to protect people and the environment
- 2Design and drive actions to maintain OSHA, EPA, and DOT compliance and support ISO14001 and ISO45001 certifications
- 3Lead audits, inspections, and corrective action tracking to close gaps within defined timelines
- 4Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement preventive and corrective actions
- 5Partner with leadership to assess and mitigate workplace hazards through risk assessments and proactive controls
- 6Coordinate EHS policy updates across departments and communicate changes to all levels
- 7Deliver EHS training on hazard communication, LOTO, machine guarding, fall protection, confined space, and emergency response
- 8Foster safety committees and plant teams to resolve safety concerns and drive accountability
- 9Evaluate EHS-related equipment, safety devices, and facility changes to improve safety performance
- 10Ensure regulatory reporting, hazardous waste management, wastewater, stormwater, air permitting, and chemical safety are compliant
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field
- 25+ years of experience in EHS within manufacturing
- 3Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA regulations and related compliance
- 4Experience implementing ISO14001 and ISO45001 or similar systems
- 5Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong analytical and communication skills
- 6Preferred certifications in OSHA standards, EPA and DOT Regulations
- 7Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence safety culture
- 8Willingness to work varied hours and on-site at Gastonia, NC
