EDM Machinist - 2nd Shift at Calmax Technology
Overview
We seek an experienced EDM Machinist for our 2nd shift in Santa Clara, CA. The ideal candidate will own part production at scale, drive improvements, and differentiate our team.
What You'll Do8
- 1Review work orders engineering plans materials specifications surface locations and CNC EDM parameters to produce parts per customer blueprints
- 2Monitor machine coolants lubricants oils fluids grease and fill as needed documenting all activities on the Coolant Fluid Maintenance Log
- 3Set up programs configure and operate CNC EDM equipment
- 4Perform preventative maintenance on EDM machines as required
- 5Adjust machine operation and tooling while inspecting parts for conformance
- 6Design fabricate or support tooling cutters work holding fixtures jaws and procurement needs
- 7Train staff in basic shop measurement math including linear metric algebra and geometry
- 8Interpret GD&T drawings and apply ISO documentation standards
Requirements6
- 1High school diploma GED or equivalent
- 25-10 years precision machine shop experience
- 3Proficiency with at least two major CNC machine types
- 4Recent experience programming CNC equipment using CAD/CAM software
- 5Strong ability to read and interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances
- 6Familiarity with ISO documentation processes preferred
