CNC Programmer San Jose Laborup
Overview
We seek an experienced CNC Programmer to develop and optimize CNC programs for high-precision manufacturing in San Jose. The ideal candidate will own the creation of complex tight-tolerance components through advanced programming and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
What You'll Do11
- 1Develop, prove, troubleshoot, and optimize CNC programs for complex precision components
- 2Program CNC mills and/or lathes including advanced 5-axis multi-axis and mill-turn applications
- 3Create machining strategies from engineering drawings CAD models and GD&T requirements
- 4Utilize CAM software such as Mastercam Siemens NX Fusion 360 or similar platforms
- 5Determine appropriate tooling workholding speeds feeds and machining strategies
- 6Simulate and verify programs for toolpath accuracy collision avoidance and efficient machine operation
- 7Work directly with machinists and setup personnel during prove-outs machine setups and first article runs
- 8Troubleshoot programming tooling workholding dimensional and machining issues on the shop floor
- 9Optimize programs and processes to improve cycle time setup efficiency tool life repeatability and scrap rates
- 10Maintain programming documentation tooling information setup documentation and revision history
- 11Partner with engineering and quality teams to ensure finished components meet customer specifications
Requirements9
- 18+ years CNC machining programming experience in a production environment
- 2Strong CNC programming experience with mills lathes or both
- 3Experience with 5-axis milling multi-axis lathes and/or mill-turn equipment is highly preferred
- 4Proficiency with Mastercam Siemens NX Fusion 360 or comparable CAM software
- 5Strong understanding of G-code programming
- 6Ability to interpret complex blueprints CAD models tolerances and GD&T
- 7Strong understanding of tooling workholding speeds and feeds and machining best practices
- 8Experience producing complex tight-tolerance components
- 9Ability to troubleshoot problems directly at the machine and work closely with machinists during prove-out and production
