Machinist, Wire EDM & CNC Manufacturing
Overview
You will own precision machining operations on wire EDM machines at a Bucks County machine shop, delivering tight-tolerance parts for manufacturing clients. You join a small team of machinists and report to the shop lead, collaborating daily on custom and production runs. What You'll Do8
- 1Set up and operate wire EDM machines to produce parts within specified tolerances, achieving quality targets in the first 90 days.
- 2Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and solid models to determine machining sequences and tooling requirements.
- 3Program and edit CNC wire EDM controls, optimizing cuts for accuracy and surface finish.
- 4Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges, documenting results and adjusting as needed.
- 5Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, including wire breakage and taper errors, to maintain production flow.
- 6Collaborate with engineers and other machinists on SolidWorks models to refine designs for manufacturability.
- 7Maintain a clean and safe work area, following shop safety protocols and reporting hazards.
- 8Meet daily production schedules while managing multiple jobs and prioritizing urgent requests.

- 12-10 years of machining experience with wire EDM machines.
- 2Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- 3Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and solid models.
- 4Background with SolidWorks is preferred.
- 5Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
