CNC/EDM Machine Operator - Electro-Chemical Machining
Overview
Operate electro-chemical machines to cut metal work pieces to exact specifications. You will set up and run ECM equipment, dress electrodes, and inspect parts with measuring instruments. Work on 2nd or 3rd shift in a manufacturing environment at GE Vernova. This role demands precision and adherence to quality standards.
What You'll Do8
- 1Set up and operate electro-chemical machines to cut metal work pieces to specifications.
- 2Examine operation sheets and plan machine operations for ECM processes.
- 3Dress electrodes according to standards and identify unusable conditions.
- 4Position and secure work pieces using clamps, vices, or holding fixtures.
- 5Adjust acid flow and observe machine operation to ensure quality.
- 6Inspect work pieces visually and with measuring instruments for conformance.
- 7Record dimensions and quality data in the electronic documenting system.
- 8Maintain production and quality standards; report issues to management.
Requirements5
- 1High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 21+ year experience in industrial manufacturing as a machine operator.
- 3Ability to lift/push/pull 50+ pounds.
- 4U.S. Person status due to export control restrictions.
- 5Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift and overtime as needed.
Salary Insight
