CNC Machine Set-up & Operator II
Overview
Lead CNC machine setup and operation to produce machined parts while ensuring quality and safety standards. This role involves editing programs, maintaining equipment, and collaborating within a team to achieve operational excellence.
What You'll Do11
- 1Set-up three different types of machines including VMCs HMCs TMCs Fiber Laser and robotic welders
- 2Produce machined parts by setting up and operating CNC machines
- 3Maintain quality and safety standards through regular inspections and adherence to procedures
- 4Edit program files for mills lathes break presses lasers and robotic welders
- 5Plan machining by analyzing blueprints and engineering plans
- 6Verify settings using micrometers and calipers to ensure accuracy
- 7Perform preventive maintenance on equipment according to manufacturer guidelines
- 8Collaborate with teams to troubleshoot production issues
- 9Train new hires on machine setups and operational protocols
- 10Document work processes and maintain detailed records
- 11Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements5
- 1Associate degree or equivalent from a technical school or two years of relevant experience
- 2Basic understanding of blueprint reading and problem-solving abilities
- 3Ability to operate and program CNC machines including VMCs HMCs TMCs fiber lasers and robotic welders
- 4Proficiency in GD&T interpretation and measurement techniques
- 5Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance
