What You'll Do8
- 1Negotiate and resolve pending litigation, aiming for favorable settlements in the first 90 days.
- 2Prepare, review, and file pleadings, discovery, and motions using Microsoft Office and case management tools.
- 3Attend hearings and trials in assigned California regions, with travel expenses reimbursed.
- 4Collaborate with staff and opposing counsel to achieve fair, efficient case resolutions.
- 5Manage your caseload independently, prioritizing deadlines and court appearances.
- 6Analyze case facts and legal precedents to build strong arguments for debt recovery.
- 7Communicate with clients and opposing parties to drive settlements and reduce litigation costs.
- 8Stay current on California civil procedures and debt collection laws to ensure compliance.
Requirements8
- 1Active law license in good standing with the State Bar of California.
- 22+ years of litigation experience preferred, but training available for new attorneys.
- 3Proven ability to analyze cases and negotiate effective settlements.
- 4Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- 5Excellent written and verbal communication skills for court and client interactions.
