Overview

You will own construction, prevailing wage, business, and real estate litigation matters from filing to resolution at a respected boutique law firm. You will conduct legal research, draft motions, and argue hearings while working directly with senior attorneys on case strategy. Collaborate in an in-office team of experienced litigators who mentor attorneys through substantive work. You will manage your own caseload and client relationships, gaining hands-on exposure to depositions, mediations, and negotiations. This role offers a path to grow into a senior litigator with increasing ownership and direct impact on client outcomes.

What You'll Do9

  • 1Manage litigation matters from intake through resolution, taking increasing ownership as you gain experience.
  • 2Conduct legal research using Westlaw or LexisNexis and draft motions, briefs, and pleadings.
  • 3Argue motions in court and participate in depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
  • 4Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to move cases forward.
  • 5Analyze contracts, evidence, and discovery materials to identify key legal and factual issues.
  • 6Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and prepare for hearings and trials.
  • 7Track court deadlines and filing requirements to ensure timely case milestones.
  • 8Develop practical strategies for construction, prevailing wage, business, and real estate disputes.
  • 9Build client relationships through responsive, high-quality legal work.

Requirements9

  • 1J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • 2Active California Bar license in good standing.
  • 31+ year of litigation experience.
  • 4Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
  • 5Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines with attention to detail.
  • 6Professional communication and a client-service mindset.
  • 7Comfortable working collaboratively in an office environment.
  • 8Experience with Westlaw, LexisNexis, or comparable research platforms preferred.
  • 9Construction, real estate, business, or prevailing wage litigation experience is a plus.
