What You'll Do11

  • 1Manage a docket of commercial litigation matters across state and federal courts from intake through resolution or trial
  • 2Draft review and file pleadings motions briefs oppositions and court filings with precision and adherence to court rules
  • 3Lead motion practice including drafting dispositive motions replies and oral argument preparation
  • 4Plan and execute discovery strategies draft and respond to discovery requests manage document collection review privilege logs and supervise ediscovery workflows
  • 5Prepare for take and defend depositions develop witness preparation materials and trial outlines
  • 6Develop trial preparation plans including exhibit lists witness examinations jury instructions and evidentiary strategy
  • 7Conduct in-depth legal research using Westlaw LexisNexis and other platforms to support briefs and motions
  • 8Perform document review and analysis to identify key facts preserved evidence and litigation risk
  • 9Lead settlement negotiations assist in developing case valuation and settlement strategy collaborate with clients
  • 10Advise clients on case strategy risk management and practical legal options maintain strong communication and provide timely updates
  • 11Mentor supervise junior attorneys paralegals and document review teams manage deadlines and delegate tasks for highquality costeffective representation

Requirements11

  • 1Juris Doctor JD from an accredited law school and active admission to the state bar in which the attorney will practice (federal bar admission preferred)
  • 2Minimum 3-7 years of civil litigation experience with substantial commercial/business dispute background and strong trial experience
  • 3Proven motion practice experience drafting dispositive motions motions in limine and related briefing
  • 4Demonstrated trial preparation and courtroom expertise including witness preparation and evidence presentation
  • 5Strong legal writing and brief drafting skills with persuasive wellorganized filings
  • 6Extensive discovery process expertise including ediscovery platforms document review privilege logs and meetandconfers
  • 7Proficiency with legal research tools Westlaw LexisNexis and document management/review systems
  • 8Experience conducting and defending depositions and preparing deposition summaries
  • 9Excellent negotiation skills and ability to develop settlement strategies and alternatives to litigation
  • 10Highly organized capable of managing multiple matters and deadlines and working independently as well as cooperatively
  • 11Strong interpersonal client counseling skills professional demeanor and ethical judgment
