What You'll Do9

  • 1Own shift operations for your department, directing 10-30 associates to meet daily throughput goals in Fashion Nova's Los Angeles DC.
  • 2Drive productivity and accuracy metrics, using WMS data to adjust labor allocation and eliminate bottlenecks.
  • 3Train and coach associates on safety protocols and equipment handling, cutting incident rates by 15% within a quarter.
  • 4Coordinate inbound and outbound flows with Inventory Control to prevent stockouts and mis-shipments.
  • 5Conduct Gemba walks each shift, identifying process gaps and implementing lean fixes with Kaizen methods.
  • 6Enforce OSHA-compliant procedures and maintain a clean, organized floor with digital 5S checklists.
  • 7Communicate daily performance and concerns to the Operations Manager through structured huddles and reports.
  • 8Lead cross-training programs to build a flexible workforce capable of handling peak season surges.
  • 9Implement Pick-to-Light and RF scanner best practices to reduce picking errors by 20%.

Requirements8

  • 12+ years supervising in a distribution or fulfillment center, managing crews of 15+ associates.
  • 2High school diploma or GED; bachelor's degree in supply chain or operations a plus.
  • 3Proven ability to hit productivity and quality KPIs in a high-volume environment.
  • 4Hands-on experience with WMS (e.g., Manhattan, Blue Yonder) and Excel for reporting.
  • 5Forklift certification or ability to obtain one within 30 days; OSHA safety training preferred.
  • 6Strong communication skills, with bilingual (Spanish) an advantage.
  • 7Physical stamina for 8-12 hour shifts, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing/walking constantly.
  • 8Flexibility for rotating shifts, weekends, and peak season overtime.
