Senior Operations Manager, Distribution Center
Overview
Senior Operations Manager owns product flow through a 130+ DC network supporting 1,700+ stores. You lead a team of supervisors to hit KPI targets in a 5am-7pm weekend shift. What You'll Do8
- 1Own end-to-end inventory flow through the building, adjusting resources in real time to meet store demand.
- 2Lead a team of supervisors to achieve KPI targets for safety, productivity, and accuracy.
- 3Resolve escalated operational issues from your team, from equipment failures to staffing gaps.
- 4Communicate daily workload plans and business objectives to both your team and senior leadership.
- 5Forecast production volume and reallocate labor across shifts and zones as conditions change.
- 6Build a culture of safety among subordinates and peers, enforcing compliance with all safety protocols.
- 7Mentor and coach supervisors to develop their leadership skills and prepare them for advancement.
- 8Drive change initiatives, partnering with corporate on process improvements and network-wide projects.
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field plus 3+ years in distribution center operations, or 7+ years in DC/warehouse operations with increasing responsibility.
- 2Leadership experience with direct report responsibility, including salary-level direct reports.
- 3Proven record of mentoring and coaching others.
- 4Experience leading a team through change.
- 5Track record of complying with safety requirements and building a safety culture.
- 6Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems.
- 7Preferred: experience managing resources, time, and budgets.
- 8Preferred: experience using troubleshooting processes to resolve problems.
- 9Preferred: leadership in a corporate-led initiative or other Lowe's supply chain network facility.
- 10Preferred: bi-lingual skills if applicable to the facility.
