What You'll Do10

  • 1Direct daily maintenance operations across the facility, ensuring all mechanical and electrical systems run safely.
  • 2Lead a team of maintenance technicians, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.

  • 4Coordinate with outside contractors for construction and repair projects, managing schedules and quality.
  • 5Maintain compliance with the Life Safety Code and all applicable regulations, passing inspections.
  • 6Manage the maintenance budget, controlling costs and prioritizing projects.
  • 7Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents, resolving issues quickly.
  • 8Document all maintenance activities and records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • 9Train staff on safety protocols and the proper use of equipment.
  • 10Collaborate with the Nursing Home Administrator to continuously improve facility quality.

Requirements9

  • 11+ years in physical plant operations and equipment maintenance in an institutional healthcare setting.
  • 2High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in a skilled trade preferred.
  • 3Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including repair and diagnostics.
  • 4Ability to apply technical concepts to facility maintenance projects.
  • 5Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing long-term care maintenance.
  • 6Strong interpersonal skills to interact with residents and staff, addressing grievances promptly.
  • 7Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
  • 8Must pass background check and drug screening.
  • 9Freedom from illegal drug use and alcohol in the workplace.
