What You'll Do6

  • 1Coordinate the maintenance and repair of facility equipment, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, within the first 90 days.
  • 2Manage and schedule maintenance requests, prioritizing urgent safety issues and monitoring completion logs.
  • 3Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and state regulations, and maintain inspection records.
  • 4Drive the preventative maintenance calendar for fire alarm, sprinkler, and emergency generator systems.
  • 5Lead emergency response for building failures, coordinating contractors and internal staff to restore services.
  • 6Monitor and report on maintenance activities to the administrator, tracking work order completion and budget spend.

Requirements6

  • 12+ years of maintenance supervision in a nursing home or healthcare facility, with life safety compliance.
  • 2Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
  • 3Strong organizational skills to manage work orders and prioritize urgent tasks.
  • 4Excellent communication, with the ability to coordinate with clinical staff and external vendors.
  • 5Knowledge of OSHA and NFPA standards, with experience passing state inspections.
  • 6Adaptability to shift priorities, with a track record of resolving issues under time pressure.
