Overview
You will lead all maintenance operations at The Boulevard Post Acute, an 81-bed sub-acute and long-term care facility in Washington, DC. You will own the safety, functionality, and compliance of the physical plant, ensuring a secure environment for residents and staff. Working with a supportive team and backed by Marquis Health Consulting Services, you will manage preventative programs, emergency response, and facility systems. What You'll Do9
- 1Oversee all maintenance operations to keep the facility safe, functional, and well-maintained at all times.
- 2Manage preventative maintenance programs and equipment repairs for uninterrupted operations.
- 3Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and facility standards.
- 4Supervise maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors to complete work on time and to quality standards.
- 5Monitor critical systems including boilers, compressors, generators, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
- 6Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and uphold safety standards.
- 7Interpret and use blueprints, technical manuals, and system documentation for repairs.
- 8Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance documentation.
- 9Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies to protect resident safety and continuity of care.
Requirements8
- 14+ years of experience in a maintenance role.
- 2Nursing home or healthcare facility experience required.
- 3HVAC certification strongly preferred.
- 4Working knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- 5Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and system schematics.
- 6Knowledge of applicable building codes and safety regulations.
- 7Licensed or certified per state and regulatory requirements.
- 8Strong problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
