Overview
The Director, Compensation - North America leads the design and administration of compensation programs across the United States and Canada. This role partners with HR Finance Legal Talent Acquisition and business leadership to ensure programs are competitive compliant and aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in market pricing job architecture and governance while driving talent attraction retention and fiscal discipline.
What You'll Do11
- 1Lead the design administration and governance of North America compensation programs including base pay salary structures merit planning and incentive design
- 2Ensure compensation programs remain competitive across semiconductor advanced manufacturing engineering and technical markets
- 3Develop strategies that support attraction retention and employee engagement while supporting growth and performance
- 4Serve as a trusted advisor to HR Business Partners Talent Acquisition Finance and business leaders on offers promotions and internal movement
- 5Translate complex compensation concepts into practical recommendations that support business objectives
- 6Lead annual compensation planning and manage governance related to compensation administration leveling and incentive plans
- 7Ensure compliance with federal state and local regulations including pay transparency and compensation reporting requirements
- 8Support pay equity analysis compensation governance initiatives and executive compensation analysis as needed
- 9Use workforce analytics compensation surveys and market data to evaluate competitiveness and retention risk
- 10Partner with Finance on budgeting workforce planning and compensation cost forecasting
- 11Develop dashboards reporting and metrics that improve compensation decision quality and transparency
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Business Finance Economics or related field
- 210+ years of progressive compensation or total rewards experience including leadership responsibilities
- 3Significant experience managing compensation programs across the United States and Canada
- 4Deep expertise in compensation design salary structures market pricing incentive compensation job architecture pay transparency and governance
- 5Strong analytical financial and business acumen with ability to influence senior leaders through data and insights
- 6Experience supporting engineering manufacturing technical and corporate employee populations within complex organizations
- 7Preferred semiconductor advanced manufacturing industrial technology or competitive technical industry background
- 8Experience with publicly traded companies executive compensation leadership compensation equity programs or long term incentive plans
- 9Experience leading compensation planning processes in large matrixed organizations
- 10CCP certification or master’s degree in Human Resources Business Administration Finance or related field preferred
