What You'll Do8

  • 1Prepare and serve meals that match each resident's dietary plan and preferences, following facility guidelines.
  • 2Deliver trays to resident rooms and dining areas, ensuring orders are correct and meals arrive hot and appetizing.
  • 3Set up and break down dining spaces, keeping them clean, organized, and welcoming for every meal.
  • 4Collaborate with the culinary team to adjust menus and accommodate special requests or allergies.
  • 5Monitor food temperatures and storage, reporting any issues to the lead cook or manager.
  • 6Assist with dishwashing, sanitation, and waste disposal to maintain a safe kitchen environment.
  • 7Engage with residents during meal service, offering a warm smile and a helpful attitude.
  • 8Document meal intake and note any changes in residents' eating habits for the nursing team.

Requirements6

  • 11+ year experience in food service, dietary aid, or a similar role preferred.
  • 2Current food handler's permit or ServSafe certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days.
  • 3Ability to stand for 6-8 hours per shift and lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
  • 4Strong attention to detail for accurate meal orders and dietary compliance.
  • 5Excellent communication skills to interact with residents, families, and team members.
  • 6Flexibility to work PRN shifts, including days and evenings as needed.
