Dietary Aide, Skilled Nursing Facility
Overview
You will own meal preparation, tray line assembly, and sanitation for a skilled nursing facility. You ensure residents receive correct diets, manage dish machine operations, and maintain clean food service workspaces. You work with the Certified Dietary Manager and support state inspections. This role offers paid training and tuition reimbursement for career growth.
What You'll Do9
- 1Store and handle all food per safe food handling guidelines and state regulations.
- 2Prep food items using standardized recipes and institutional food equipment.
- 3Assemble diet trays matching each resident's diet card, verifying correct meals.
- 4Load trays onto carts and deliver to dining areas and resident units.
- 5Report food refusals to supervisor and Charge Nurse, preparing alternate meals.
- 6Run and maintain the dish machine, cleaning dishes, utensils, and equipment.
- 7Prepare and deliver nourishments and supplements to units on schedule.
- 8Maintain clean workspaces and report equipment issues or pest signs immediately.
- 9Assist the Certified Dietary Manager with state inspection preparation.
Requirements5
- 1High school diploma or GED.
- 21 year experience as a food service aide preferred.
- 3Ability to read diet cards, portion guidelines, and sanitation procedures.
- 4Basic computer skills required.
- 5Pass state and federal criminal background check.
