Overview

Owns and guides the execution of housing program priorities at scale within a multifaceted organization. Leads day-to-day planning, implementation, and refinement of housing programs including pilots and enhancements. Partners with senior leadership to assess opportunities and inform long-term housing strategy. Applies subject-matter expertise in housing stability and rental assistance to ensure compliant program delivery and strong outcomes.

What You'll Do9

  • 1Build and monitor HCV initiatives and related rental assistance programs to improve performance and compliance.
  • 2Design and lead program pilots, enhancements, and ongoing improvements with measurable outcomes within 90 days.
  • 3Own data-driven decision making by leveraging reporting to inform continuous improvement and strategy.
  • 4Lead cross-functional collaboration with housing authorities, government agencies, and stakeholders to expand resources and participation.
  • 5Supervise and support program staff fostering collaboration, accountability, learning, and equity.
  • 6Assist with onboarding, development, workload management, and cross-team coordination for housing initiatives.
  • 7Manage budgeting, grants, contracts, and resource tracking to support program delivery and impact.
  • 8Represent the organization in local and regional housing meetings and coalitions to strengthen housing systems.
  • 9Promote resident-centered design and community-informed approaches to long-term housing stability.

Requirements12

  • 1Bachelor’s degree required
  • 23+ years of supervisory or team-lead experience
  • 33+ years of experience administering public or assisted housing programs
  • 4Experience in affordable housing or community development program operations
  • 5Working knowledge of Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) programs and HUD-regulated environments
  • 6Ability to support program improvement and operational change
  • 7Familiarity with LIHTC structures
  • 8Experience supporting budget management, grant-funded programs, or contracting
  • 9Experience working in cross-sector or collaborative housing initiatives
  • 10Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • 11Ability to obtain required certifications
  • 12Commitment to equity and resident-centered practice
