Overview
You own the wood department at a Floor & Decor superstore in Seattle, driving sales, training, and merchandising. You lead a team of Product Sales Specialists, set daily priorities, and keep the showroom floor shoppable. You master the P's of Retail and POS systems, turning every customer into a repeat buyer. What You'll Do9
- 1Train Product Sales Specialists on product knowledge and P's of Retail, monitoring their certification progress.
- 2Drive daily sales through team coaching, one-on-one feedback, and model customer engagement on the floor.
- 3Manage department inventory: communicate needs to management, direct freight processing, and validate placement.
- 4Ensure pricing accuracy across all displays and signage, updating tags and signs as needed.
- 5Model safe lifting practices and supervise compliance with all standard operating procedures.
- 6Complete forklift certification and apply it to receiving and restocking duties.
- 7Handle customer transactions at checkout using POS and process returns, exchanges, and payments per policy.
- 8Lead how-to classes for customers, showcasing product uses and installation basics.
- 9Respond to phone inquiries with helpful, accurate product information and direction.
Requirements7
- 1High School Diploma or GED required.
- 21+ year in retail sales or customer service, or equivalent combo.
- 3Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- 4Ability to multitask and work in a high-volume retail warehouse environment.
- 5Capable of lifting 30-60 lbs frequently and standing for full shifts.
- 6Willingness to complete Industrial Truck (forklift) certification within 30 days.
- 7Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications.
