Department Manager Assistant - Floor & Decor Phoenix
Overview
You will train and develop Product Sales Specialists, own the customer experience, and drive department performance at Floor & Decor in Phoenix. You will manage daily operations, from merchandising to safety, while mentoring a team of 10-15 specialists. You will lead certification programs and ensure every customer leaves with expert guidance. This role offers a direct path to Assistant Store Manager.
What You'll Do8
- 1Train and certify Product Sales Specialists on product knowledge, customer service, and POS systems
- 2Own the department's merchandising, pricing, and presentation standards
- 3Drive sales by coaching the team on the basic P's of retail
- 4Complete forklift proficiency and certification within 30 days
- 5Direct the processing and placement of merchandise on the showroom floor
- 6Resolve customer issues and process refunds according to company policy
- 7Lead 'how-to' classes for customers on weekends
- 8Validate all product placement and pricing each shift
Requirements7
- 1High School Diploma or GED
- 21+ years of customer service or sales experience
- 3Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 4Ability to lift 30-60 pounds and stand for long periods
- 5Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with moving vehicles
- 6Basic math skills for pricing and inventory counts
- 7Open availability including weekends and evenings
