The Assistant Department Manager oversees Product Sales Specialists and ensures positive customer experiences. They lead training initiatives and uphold company values while managing high-volume environments.
What You'll Do15
- 1Train and develop Product Sales Specialists to deliver exceptional customer service and product knowledge
- 2Act consistently with company core values aligned with retail fundamentals People Position Product Presentation Price Promotion Purchasing
- 3Provide direction for accurate customer service across all product lines
- 4Complete all product specialist certification courses
- 5Validate merchandise placement and pricing within the department
- 6Greet customers courteously and assist with product selections
- 7Process transactions using POS systems and handle refunds/exchanges per guidelines
- 8Present educational classes to customers about products
- 9Follow cash and card acceptance procedures
- 10Stock and tag displays as required
- 11Create price tags and merchandise signs
- 12Manage inventory needs and coordinate merchandise delivery to showroom floor
- 13Maintain safe lifting practices and industrial truck proficiency
- 14Communicate operational updates to associates promptly
- 15Direct processing of merchandise to showroom floor
Requirements5
- 1High School Diploma or GED with one year customer service/sales experience
- 2Physical ability to lift 30-60 pounds occasionally and 20-30 pounds frequently
- 3Experience with Python AWS React Kubernetes
- 4Certification in CPC Card BCBA AWS Certified
- 53-5 years experience in retail leadership roles
