What You'll Do8
- 1Own patient screening and medical history documentation, ensuring accuracy with electronic medical record systems
- 2Deliver preventive care and oral health education, using Velscope and Diagnodent for early detection
- 3Perform dental prophylaxis and scaling, leveraging digital scanners and digital x-rays for precise diagnostics
- 4Collaborate with doctors and hygiene team in scheduled meetings to align on patient care plans
- 5Maintain clinical efficiency and patient comfort, managing time to provide quality over quantity care
- 6Document treatment plans and patient interactions, updating records in real-time
- 7Adhere to safety protocols, including CPR certification and TB test compliance
- 8Participate in virtual or in-person training sessions to stay current with clinical best practices
Requirements8
- 1Current dental hygienist license in Florida and an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene
- 21+ years of clinical experience in a dental setting
- 3Proficiency with Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems
- 4CPR Certification required
- 5Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, and patient screening
- 6Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- 7Prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and ability to lift up to 45 pounds
- 8Availability to attend virtual training sessions periodically
